In the OSG we give you tips and replies on the use of ORAC products, combinations and colors.

HOW DO YOU CREATE A PLEASANT WAINSCOTING EFFECT ?
It is imperative to commence your design on paper. It is recommended that you use “MM” Paper or equivalent, that possess very fine “architectural” lines to assist you in your endeavor. Panel Moulding is usually installed at approximately 1/3 of the distance from the floor of the total height of the wall. Using your original drawings as a point of reference, it should provide you with the necessary perspective to layout and install your Skirting Boards, Panel Mouldings and Door Panels. Try to keep your designs symmetric. When satisfied with your sketched layout and perspective, transfer your designs from the paper upon which they were conceived to the wall with a pencil. Try to work as much as possible in a symmetric way.
HOW DO YOU HIDE A GAP BETWEEN YOUR FLOOR COVERING AND THE WALL .
When installing a wooden or laminated floor, it is recommended that you leave a 1cm distance in between the floor and the wall. This gap can be filled with one of the ORAC® LINEA MINI MOULDINGS (CX.132 and CX.133) or one of the ORAC® SKIRTING BOARDS, which can be painted the same color as the wall.

HOW CAN YOU UPGRADE AN OLD CUPBOARD?
Highlight it with the use one of the ORAC® CORNICE or ORAC® WALL MOULDINGS. Paint it in an old patina scheme and you will be amazed with the results!

WHAT ARE THE BEST COLORS FOR CORNICE MOULDINGS ?
History and experience has shown us that the most ideal colors for ORAC Decor® CORNICE MOULDINGS are beige, light grey, white, or the same color as the ceiling.

YOU WOULD PREFER A CONSERVATIVE INTERIOR WITHOUT THE USE OF THE LARGER PROFILE MOULDINGS
Use one of the ORAC® LINEA MINI MOULDINGS (CX.132, CX.133) or smaller ORAC® MOULDINGS (C.210, C.240), which can be painted the same color as the wall or ceiling.

WHAT IS THE BEST TYPE OF PAINT FOR WAINSCOTING?
Whereas that is governed largely by personal preference, matte finished paints appear to give the nice “period accurate” effect of old wainscoting.
WHAT IS THE “BASIC” RECOMMENDED METHOD FOR PAINTING ORAC PRODUCTS?
Painting with the brush gives the most natural effect. When you spray the mouldings, you will obtain a plain effect.
HOW DO YOU COMBINE THE USE OF WALLPAPER, TILES,... AND MOULDINGS?
Panel Mouldings are ideally suited for blending disparate design, material and color schemes, such as those created through the use of various wallpapers and paints
HOW CAN YOU CREATE AN OLD EFFECT USING ORAC® MOULDINGS?
By using different specialized painting techniques, such as the creation of patinas and white stone imitation, you should be able to effect an old finish.
It is recommended that you consult your paint distributor for further details.
CAN ORAC-PRODUCTS BE INSTALLED IN HUMID AREAS OR OUTSIDE?
Yes, then use only our Ms Polymer glue instead of ORAC DecoFix Pro. Use a special paint if ORAC is installed outside.
