Fire retardancy

Orac products are not fire retardant by default, but they can be treated with a fire retardant coating to meet European fire safety standards, certified in accordance with EN 13501-1.

Purotouch® can achieve a Bs2d0 fire classification when applied to a maximum of 25% of a wall surface. When covering up to 70% of a wall, it can reach a Cs2d0 classification. These ratings are only valid if the profiles are installed using FDP700 DecoFix Power adhesive. No additional conditions apply.

Duropolymer® is certified Bs2d0 when used on up to approximately 15% of a wall. To meet certification requirements, installation must be carried out using FDP700 DecoFix Power adhesive in combination with FF900 DecoFire Kit as a sealer. This material is not compatible with 3D wall coverings and its fire performance is determined by weight rather than by surface area. For specific applications or to calculate compliance, please contact the Orac team for guidance.
