We offer a wide range of profiles to suit every style, from Edwardian coving, Georgian coving and egg and dart coving to modern coving, swan neck coving and flexible coving for curved walls or unusual spaces. Many of these profiles are multifunctional and can also be used as cornice or pelmets, making them a versatile solution for hiding curtain rails and adding architectural detail. For profiles suitable for curtain rails, you can filter by ‘Application’ under Pelmets on the Coving category. Our modern ceiling coving range is ideal for contemporary interiors and works beautifully in combination with LED coving solutions to create soft, ambient lighting. What’s the difference between coving and cornice?

Coving is a simpler, gently curved moulding, often C-shaped, used to create a smooth transition between walls and ceilings. It is ideal for modern interiors or minimalistic spaces. Cornice is the broader term for ceiling mouldings and tends to be larger, more detailed and often ornate, with profiles such as egg and dart coving suited to traditional or period properties. Many Orac profiles are multifunctional and can serve as both coving and cornice, giving you flexibility to choose the style and scale that suits your space.

Can lighting be integrated into coving or cornice?

Yes. Many of our profiles are designed to work seamlessly with LED coving systems, allowing you to add soft, indirect lighting that enhances the atmosphere of any room. These profiles can also function as pelmets for hiding curtain rails, providing a practical, multifunctional solution.
